Adult League Weekly Report Regular Season Week 1

    Welcome back, as pre-season has wrapped up and we are now underway with Week 1 of our regular season. To start we take you out to Boxboro for our first two games of the week. Our first game is a solid 5-2 win for the Red team against the White team. The White team battled from behind the whole game and gave it everything they had. Our second game out of Boxboro was Vegas Gold vs. Black. With Vegas Gold scoring 3 goals in the third period to take the game by a score of 5-3.

 

    Then, we go to our Wednesday night Newton C league division. Our  first game of the evening was a 2-2 tie with Mike Antonitis tying it up in the third period with less than 45 seconds left in regulation. Our second game of the evening was Yellow vs. Green. Yellow had a phenomenal 3rd period led by Eamonn McLean and Tyler Joe with Tyler Joe scoring the game winner with 10 seconds left on the board to put the Yellow team ahead in a tight knit 4-3 game.

 

    Over to our Thursday night leagues, first up, the Newton Lower D division had close games all around. In our first game, the Black team beat the Light Blue team by a score of 3-2. The Light Blue team kept battling till the very end of the game scoring their second goal with less than 30 seconds on the game clock. Our second game out of the Newton Lower D league pits the Green team vs. the Red team in a 2-2 tie. Both teams having two goals each scored by one player. Chris Ryan for the Green team and Chris Mitchell for the Red team. It was like watching Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky play against each other back in the 90’s. Next, we take you out to our Nashua league, in our first game we have White vs. Black. With both teams having multiple point scorers of the night with Black coming out on top with a score of 7-4. In our second game we have Green vs. Light Blue with Light Blue coming out on top with a score of 6-2.

 

    Now we go out to Tyngsboro and Hooksett for our next games. We will report on Hooksett first. Our first game was the Red team vs. the Black team, The Black team comes out with the win led by the Downey boys with each of them scoring a goal in the first period and being able to hold the Red team to a shutout less first. In our second game it was Vegas Gold vs. Green while the game was neck and neck the entire time. On the Green squad Ryan Livingston has a Mark Messier performance in a 4 goal game. But, just when you thought the game was over Green comes back and ties it with a goal from Josh Lessard with 7 seconds left in the third period. In Tyngsboro our first game is Light Blue vs. Green with the Light Blue team putting on a clinic led by Scott Manchester and Nate Caughel who put on a performance with the likes of Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman in an 11-2 game. In our second game it was Red against Yellow in an 8-3 game with the Yellow team scoring 6 goals in a row between the second and third period.

 

    For our last games of the week we take you out to Woburn. Our first game is Green vs. Black, with Green winning by a score of 4-2. Clinching the Green team’s win with goals from Brett Hally and Christian Necochea. In our second game we had Vegas Gold vs. the Red team. Vegas Gold’s John Maguire showing that he has the moves of Jaromir Jagr with the hat trick, but the Red teams own Eric Davidson shows up, becomes Connor McDavid, and gets a hat trick of his own as the Red team comes out on top in a 6-4 win.
